Lighting designers in search of an outdoor-rated, professional-caliber automated luminaire will be impressed with the American DJ Hydro Spot 2, a bright feature-rich moving head that's well suited for theatrical, concert touring and event production applications. The IP-65-rated Hydro Spot 2 features a 320W cool-white LED engine, 540/630° pan and 270° tilt, motorized focus, and a motorized zoom from 8 to 41°.
Other notable features include two gobo wheels, a seven-color dichroic color wheel with variable CTO and full CMY color mixing, and two rotating/indexable prisms. It also has two frost filters (heavy and medium) to create soft edge wash looks. The Hydro Spot 2 features six selectable dimming curves as well as numerous built-in effects. For controls, the unit features three DMX channel modes (24, 29, 36) with 5-pin XLR DMX input and output connectors. Multiple units can be daisy-chained to create complex lighting installations. The Hydro Spot 2 includes a power cord and an Omega bracket.
